New In Store, Week of January 25th

My weekly update of new pieces in The Boxwood Cottage!  I have a brass thing going on right now. Last week it was Bamboo (it continues to be bamboo...but now we have added brass).

Animals abound on this gorgeous tray table (I will update next time with some detail!).  This piece is perfect for those long journeys through the Sahara, picnics in Palm Springs, or an afternoon at Polo.  Just add pouf for instant al fresco chic.
Moroccan hand hammered brass tray with faux bamboo (folding for easy travel!) stand. $400

This box! Not only is it covered with gorgeous brass characters, but it is lined in leather.
Red Chinese box, $75

Inspiration

We have so many wonderful pieces in the Cottage right now. As you know from my previous post, I'm obsessed with bamboo. I thought I would share a little Bamboo Chair Inspiration for your consideration. Enjoy. Happy Sunday!
The Boxwood Cottage will be open this week on Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 21 from Noon until 2:30 PM (at least).
Speaking of MLK Day, did you know that Dr. King's "I have a dream" speech was written at the Penn Center on Lady's Island while he was visiting Beaufort? I'm beginning to understand the mystique of this area, and that truly inspired speech proves it that much more.

Bamboo Obsession

It's true that I have an absolute obsession with bamboo.  I love the organic and graphic look it adds to any space.  It also has this resort connotation that reminds me of every tropical place I have ever visited or lived.  Really it justifies my other obsession with caftans.  That's another story for a warmer day.
We have been fortunate to add some new pieces to our collection at The Boxwood Cottage.  Pieces that I feel are in keeping with my caftan-every-day lifestyle that I strive to achieve.  If you're interested in anything you see, feel free to contact us!

We have a PAIR of these in stock~!
Insanely PERFECT vintage (antique?) Chippendale cathedral bamboo chairs with reinforced cane seats.
$1300/pair
Did I mention these are incredible?!?!?

Excellent pair of brass flamingoes.  How cute are they?  I love brass.  It adds this excellent metallic element to the room while adding warmth.  That's tough to achieve with any metal piece.  Brass is the answer.
Pair.  I also have an obsession with pairs.
$65/pair

Quite a patio set.  Iron. Faux bamboo.  Vintage.  Original condition with white vinyl seats.  Midcentury.
Phyllis Morris Patio Set.  Table with glass top and four spectacular chairs.
This set is insane it is so wonderful.
$5000 for the five piece set.

New Bits for the Boxwood!

Here a boxwood...there a boxwood...
We have a few new additions and have been shifting bits all around the store! Things are moving in and out of the door, so I like to give a little tease of an update...  More delicious pieces coming soon - more lamps, more furniture, more greenery, more jewelry, and more one of a kind decor!
Also, join us in this balmy January weather for the first installment of Music on Market, tomorrow night, Friday, January 11th, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - as always Piace Pizzeria, Berto's Tex-Mex, and Maggie's will be open and ready to serve (hopefully outside if this lovely weather holds like it is supposed to!).

Topiaries, horse heads, and busts!

Garden accoutrements for the coming months

Incredible vintage metal sculpture lamp - unsigned.  My previous years wielding midcentury furnishings leads be to assess this piece as true Midcentury Modern, 1950s-60s.  It stands about 4' tall with a silk shade.  It is truly stunning, as I believe all lamps should be.  $220 - this is one of a kind and will not last!  Call us if you're interested from a distance!
