Reclaimed Barnwood

One of our missions at The Boxwood Cottage is to make truly unique pieces available to our clientele in the Lowcountry and beyond.  For generations my family has been in the business of buy-sell-create: Antique Dealers, Pickers, Store Owners, Buyers, Event Planners, and Designers.  I suppose it is in my blood to do what I do - share finds with others who can appreciate the composition and provenance of a table, vintage pillow, antique silver, or, like below, a slab of barnwood from the Ohio River Valley.
Use your imagination, but this piece would be a gorgeous bar, unusual kitchen island accent, dining room table, or even rustic desk.  It is stable and needs some attention in the form of a sander and probably needs to be sealed by a woodworking professional.  It has gorgeous small worm holes, worn paint (see left side the lighter areas), and patina that you cannot pay for except with time.
The piece is approx 7 1/2" long and about 3' at its widest point.  If you are interested please contact us and I can email more detailed photos of the piece.
Ohio River Valley Barnwood, $200 (not including shipping...)

A barnwood idea!  Gorgeous and refined table made of reclaimed barnwood from Diane Gibbs.
Wood with this kind of age and history immediately adds character to a home and truly grounds a space.

Beautiful barnwood and beams add oodles of interest to this otherwise typical (if not gorgeous) kitchen island.
